En El Paraíso, que ha visto como se acumulaba el agua en sus calles, debido al taponamiento que han hecho en las mismas las obras de la cercana estación desalinizadora, operarios de la empresa mixta Agamed, realizaban tareas de evacuación de agua a razón de 500 metros cúbicos a la hora. Todo ello ocurría en la calle Mar Menor, según indicó el edil de Seguridad, José Eduardo Gil Rebollo, quien señaló que en esta ocasión los efectos de la tromba de agua habían sido de menores consecuencias en la urbanización Doña Inés.

Los problemas más destacados los sufrían todavía los vecinos de la urbanización El Paraiso, situada en el barrio San Roque. Allí todavía el agua mantenía al día siguiente una altura de treinta centímetros e incluso una familia tuvo que ser alojada en un establecimiento hotelero por parte del Ayuntamiento torrevejense. La familia fue acompañada en todo momento por la alcaldesa en funciones, Dolores Albaladejo, quien confirmó a este medio que el Consistorio también entregó ropa de familia a los afectados.

En poco más de 6 horas se ha recogido la mitad de lluvia que se recogió en el pasado año. Los datos son los siguientes: Torrevieja (Acequión) 104 litros/m2, Torrevieja (Centro) 109 litros /m2 y Torrevieja (Los Altos) 118 litros por metro cuadrado. La policía local, a través de TVT Radio, indica que está cortada la CV-905, la Avda. Desiderio Rodríguez a la altura de La Veleta, la CV-95 (sólo estaba habilitado un carril en Los Balcones) el acceso a Torrevieja por la carretera N332 en el Parque Las Naciones. Recomendaban la entrada por la rotonda José Samper (carretera del Torrejón).
